Lo and behold! After Instagram and Twitter, WhatsApp is also getting a dark mode now. The messaging application, owned by Facebook has introduced a special feature of grey wallpaper that is said to improve the quality with contrast.

It also makes the appearance of dialogue boxes sharper so if you want to relax your eyes, enable the feature right now.

‘Dark Mode’ is available for both iPhone and Android, but the procedure for different phones might differ.

The screen would have a special dark grey background and off-white color that would make the level of brightness low. So now if you sit in a dark room and open the application, you wouldn’t have to worry about blinding everyone with the white light.

The spokesperson for WhatsApp said, “When designing dark mode, we spent time researching and experimenting with a focus on two particular areas: readability and information hierarchy. When choosing colors, we wanted to minimize eye fatigue and use colors that are closer to the system defaults on iPhone and Android, respectively.”

The feature is available in the newest update of the application so if you have Android 10 or IOS13 you can just switch your phone settings to see dark WhatsApp. However, users of Android below 10 still need to go to WhatsApp settings and enable the launched feature from chat and themes.
