The latest update for Xbox is all set to implement this week! Apparently, Microsoft has announced that it will be rolling out a new design for Xbox consoles that will also run on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S when they release sometime next month.
The new design was actually shown back in August, and Microsoft has admitted that the home screen will load 50% faster on boot and 30% faster when exiting any game. We’re not sure whether or not the old consolers like the One S would get a performance upgrade.
The layout is honestly not that different and the only different obvious is that there are a few additional elements like the Guide and games library. This only makes it visually similar to the rest of the Xbox products like the Xbox app for Windows. There’s another option where users can customize the themes of their profile. Microsoft has apparently reshuffled the layout for new users as it helped in highlighting features like the store and Game Pass.
Like we said earlier, the update isn’t grand. Microsoft has a penchant for redesigning Xbox multiple times, so who knows how long this update will last? You should just get used to this one but don’t get too attached to the interface, because sooner or later, this too shall pass.
