It’s true that the conversation was paused when Donald Trump opposed the deal between Microsoft and ByteDance, but don’t think that the deal is dead. On the contrary, both companies have been trying to find a way to make this deal work and for that, they are only figuring out where the Trump administration stands today. The deal might not work if Trump continues to take action to ban the Chinese-based video-sharing app.

Everybody knows that Trump is adamant that the app be banned in the United States. In fact, Bloomberg reports he is ready to sign the paper that will order the ban on the Chinese-based app.

Also, Microsoft was in talks with TikTok parent app ByteDance prior to the comments of Donald Trump. Do you know that due to his remarks, TikTok agreed to add 10,000 jobs in the US? Obviously, we can’t be sure if that offer still stands because Trump is rushing the entire process and wants the app banned as soon as possible.

Another source reports that ByteDance has agreed to sell its American operations which aim to stop the banning of TikTok. This way, Microsoft will have all the power to protect US user data. This plan would have actually benefited the US as another American company would have taken control of TikTok.

So far, Trump’s administration has threatened to ban the app for a couple of week.  Vanessa Pappas who is the General Manager of TikTok in the US has shown immense confidence and has announced that the company is not afraid and is here for the long run.

TikTok and ByteDance are related apps that have been scrutinized for quite some time now as it is believed that these apps share private data of users to with Chinese government. In addition, Mike Pompeo has also tried to convince the public that TikTok is similar to Huawei and ZTE as they’re a threat to the US national security.

Last month, as revenge, TikTok users and K-pop fans bought the tickets to President Trump’s rally but they only did it so that no one shows up and the seats look empty at the rally. The turnout was actually lower than expected.

TikTok users are indeed creative with an unrecognized talent. Many youngsters have joined the platform and come up with entertaining videos which go viral on social media in no time. Even the Amazon offers great products to these users such as the 8" LED Selfie Ring Light as it can hold their iPhone as well as android phones properly. The platform has become a source of income for many – only if they know how to utilize it well, of course. Hence, here’s hoping that the deal between Microsoft and ByteDance falls through.
