Trump and His Advisor Threaten a Twitter Employee

The White House sets a new low every day. After Trump’s tweets were labeled as false, the President and his team have decided to ruin the life of a Twitter employee. Trump’s advisor, Kellyanne Conway was ruthless in her attacks against the head of site integrity, Yoel Roth as she accused Roth of being anti-Trump after digging up some old tweets. So, apparently being anti-Trump is wrong now because his advisors can come knocking at your door or harass you any day on live television.

Conway deliberately set an unsafe environment for Roth as she called him “horrible” and obviously in response, Trump’s blind supporters did what they do best: incite violence.
In an interview with Fox News Conway said, “Somebody in San Francisco go wake him up and tell him he’s about to get a lot more followers.”

The worst part is that her threats were not even subtle and the fact she was so openly critical of the employee shows the entitlement of the Republican Party.
The right-wing personalities and conservatives took it upon themselves to share tweets against Roth and he is now facing massive cyberbullying and online harassment. The situation has gotten so out of hand that Roth has also received multiple death threats as reported by Protocol.

The good news is that Twitter is not giving in to the threats and is doing its best to back the employee. The spokesperson for the site said that Roth is not even responsible for placing fact checks on tweets. “No one person at Twitter is responsible for our policies or enforcement actions, and it’s unfortunate to see individual employees targeted for company decisions,” said the spokesperson.

Trump’s tweets were flagged during the election campaign and the site said that the tweets “contain potentially misleading information about voting processes and have been labeled to provide additional context around mail-in ballots.”

This is not the first time Trump and his supporters are causing chaos after not getting their way. The President himself was on the front line with threats and said that Twitter is “now interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election,” and reiterating his false statement that mail-in ballots “will lead to massive corruption and fraud.”

He said that the White House will take “big action” against the company. Trump is willfully ignorant of the fact that he cannot shut down a private company for removing his tweets, especially if there has been no contract in the past. The whole scenario just points towards his entitlement and how far he is willing to go to make sure no one challenges his authority.
