If you ever thought that Elon Musk and musician Grimes were going to change the name of their child, then get rid of the assumption because it’s official now.
The billionaire couple has actually named their child X AE A-XII – "X" is the child's first name and "AE A-XII" is the middle name, whereas "Musk" is the sir name.
If you look closely, you’ll see that the couple has made slight adjustments to the name. Initially, the name was announced to be X Æ A-12 but because California doesn’t permit the addition of special symbols or numbers in the legal name, the name’s changed to X AE A-XII. However, the overall sentiments remain the same.
Last month during his conversation with the comedian Joe Rogan, Musk explained how he and Grimes came up with the name. He said, “First of all, my partner is the one who, mostly, actually came up with the name. I mean it's just X, the letter X. And then the AE is like pronounced 'ash'... yeah... and then A-12 is my contribution."
If you’re wondering what the meaning of A-12 is, then it’s been clarified that A-12 stands for the Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71 aircraft. Musk has also called it "the coolest plane ever" on Rogan’s podcast.
If you think the name is a bit of a mouthful, you should consider using “Little X” as that’s the nickname Grimes uses fondly.
