Nike takes a stand against racism with a twist in its infamous catchphrase “Just do it”. In a new video campaign focusing on the rising police brutalities against people of color in America, they implored people to just “Don’t Do It.”

On Friday evening, Nike uploaded a video on its social media accounts with a thought-provoking message stating “For once, Don’t Do It,” a creative display with its iconic slogan recognized around the world.

The message reads:

“For once, Don’t Do It. Don’t pretend there’s not a problem in America. Don’t turn your back on racism. Don’t accept innocent lives being taken from us. Don’t make any more excuses. Don’t think it doesn’t affect you. Don’t sit back and be silent. Don’t think you can’t be part of the change. Let’s all be part of the change.”

Nike’s rival brand Adidas also retweeted the video, a rare display of solidarity, with a caption that says, “Together is how we move forward. Together is how we make change.”

It’s not the first time that the brand has used this slogan to raise any social issue!

In September 2018, Nike got tremendous response from people around the world with its advertising campaign featuring US Football player and activist Colin Kaepernick, criticized for kneeling during the US national anthem at games in protest against racism.
