Are you an avid K-drama fan and looking to binge something similar to Train to Busan, #Alive and The Wailing or A Love So Beautiful? If yes, then there’s something better coming to your screens - South Korea's Sweet Home, Korean remake!

Nobody can do zombies (or monsters in this case) better than South Koreans… Don’t believe us? Stream Sweet Home on 18th December on Netflix to see it yourself!

Here's everything about another Netflix's K-drama 'Run on"

Netflix’s latest K-drama offers a frightening yet entertaining experience with the impressive special effects, compelling story, and strong characters!

“I decided it was time to die…. And the world agreed with me.”

It’s pretty fascinating how much South Korean content Netflix brings to the screens every month, but unfortunately, most of the content is dropped on to the streaming site with little or no recognition!

While Netflix’s gems like It’s Okay Not to be Okay and Crash Landing on You have been applauded by both international and mainstream media, there are still many underrated K-dramas such as “Memories of Alhambra” that failed to get the recognition they deserved.

If the trailer interests you, this upcoming thriller series should most definitely be on your watch list!

Here’s what you need to know about Netflix’s upcoming thriller:

Plot:

Based on the webtoon comic of the same name created by Yongchan Hwang, Sweet Home tells the story of a high-school student Cha Hyun-Soo who moves into a new apartment after the death of his family in an accident. He becomes traumatized after being bullied in school and chooses to stay alone in his room.

In an unfortunate turn of events, when humans starts to turn into savages, he and his neighbors fight to survive and struggle to hold on to their humanity. As the story progresses, we follow the protagonist as he tries to save the people who have transformed into monsters because of their greed. And while he’s at it, he notices that his pessimistic view of the society begins to change.

The story sounds similar to #Alive, another Netflix Original K-drama, in which a video game live-streamer struggles to survive as he is forced to stay in his apartment during a zombie apocalypse.

But we’re expecting something unique and original with Sweet Home, as an acclaimed director (Lee Eung-Bok) is on board this time.

Episodes details and run time

The first season of Sweet Home consists of 10 episodes in total, each having a runtime of 60 minutes. All the episodes are expected to release on Netflix on 18th December.

The series is a full-fledged Netflix Original, which means you can stream it in 4k. You will, however, need a premium Netflix subscription and a 4K device to watch the latest K-drama in 4K.

Many of the webtoon fans must be wondering if season 1 would cover the entire story of Sweet Home. Well, there are 130 chapters of Sweet Home till now. Considering the total run time of 10 hours, the season 1 will have plenty of room to cover most of the comic story, if not all!
