Anyone who has watched Suits would know Patrick J. Adams a.k.a. Mike Ross is best when it comes to the defense of his clients or even friends. And when his fellow actor’s character is in question, of course, he is going to speak out!
Ahead of the premiere of Prince Harry and Meghan Markel’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday 7th March, royal staff members came forward with bullying accusations against the Duchess of Sussex, claiming that she drove out two personal assistances from Kensington Palace and shattered the confidence of the third staff member.
Later, the Buckingham Palace released the statement that they have been investigating into the incident.
But Meghan’s friend and Suits costar, Patrick J. Adams thinks that it’s actually the Royal family themselves who are truly guilty of “obscene bullying behavior.”
On Friday, the actor came to the defense of his fellow co-star, tweeting, “Meghan Markle and I spent the better part of a decade working together on Suits. From day one she was an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive member of our television family. She remained that person and colleagues as fame, prestige and power accrued.” He added, “She has always been a powerful woman with a deep sense of morality and a fierce work ethic and has never been afraid to speak up, be heard and defend herself and those she holds dear. Like the rest of the world, I have watched her navigate the last few years in astonishment.”
Somebody get us a friend like Adams…
He didn’t end there, he went on to explain how the Duchess has been in the center of chaos after “she fell in love, moved to a new country, became a household name across the entire globe and began the difficult work of trying to find her place in a family dynamic that can at least be described as complicated and at worst, seemingly archaic and toxic.” Addams added, “It sickened me to read the endless racist, slanderous, clickbaiting vitriol spewed in her direction from all manner of media across the UK and the world but I also knew that Meghan was stronger than people realized or understood and they would regret underestimating her.”
In the popular drama Suits, Adams played a lawyer with a photographic memory whose expertise is to convince the jurors with his compelling arguments and emotional claims. Well, he pulled the same thing in reality, too, and if it were a court case, they all must have already ruled out Meghan Markel non-guilty!
Patrick J. Adams also slammed the critics for not letting the two have the time of their life with their newly born son, Archie. He said, “On any sort of decent planet, that would be a time to stop sharpening the knives and let these two people enjoy the magical early months and years of starting a family. But we don’t live on that planet and instead the hunt continued.”
The actor didn’t hesitate to step into the raging fray between Meghan and her in-laws, he continued, “It’s OBSCENE that the Royal Family, who’s newest member is currently GROWING INSIDE OF HER, is promoting and amplifying accusations of ‘bullying’ against a woman who herself was basically forced to flee the UK in order to protect her family and her own mental health,” Adams rested his arguments. “IOM, this newest chapter and its timing is just another stunning example of the shamelessness of an institution that has outlived its relevance, is way overdrawn on credibility and apparently bankrupt of decency. Find someone else to admonish, berate and torment. My friend Meghan is way out of your league.”
Oh, boy…. It looks like Adams has singlehandedly destroyed the entire Royal family and their supposed propaganda against the Duchess of Sussex!
Obviously, his statements would inevitably cause raised eyebrows of those who worship the Royal family. For example, Piers Morgan, a die-hard support of the Crown responded to Patrick J. Adams defense of Meghan Markle, calling him a “little twerp.”
Honestly, this whole Royal family drama thing is getting more interesting than Netflix’s The Crown. So, grab your popcorns as the drama has finally reached its climax with the couple’s interview with Oprah going on air this Sunday.
