The royal drama continues to intensify and the latest promo of the Oprah interview has only added fuel to the raging fire. It seems like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially at war with the Buckingham Palace, and are now coming at the forefront with their accusations.
In the latest promo, Oprah asks about the reaction of the Royals on Meghan speaking her truth to which Meghan says: “I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And if that comes with risk of losing things, there is a lot that has been lost already.”
The interview that was shot last month will be aired on March 7, 2021, right before Women’s Day 2021. The latest promo of the interview is timed well, as it’s dropped right when the UK is swarmed up by the media. The first two promos that were dropped on Sunday show the Prince (thankfully!) siding with his wife and saying that he just couldn’t watch history repeat itself.
Although the Sussexes have claimed that it’s a smear campaign against them, The Times of London has alleged that Meghan Markle has bullied some of the royal aides in 2018. Why did this allegation rise right after the promos of the Oprah interview released?
Planned or not, but in the first two promos only Harry and Oprah can be seen speaking. At one point, in fact, she points that Harry has some shocking things to say.
Oprah Winfrey did ask Meghan Markle a question that we all have been wondering: She asked whether she was silent or silenced. Of course, we’re sure that they will be asked about their decision to leave the UK and what really became a breaking point for the couple.
Nobody expected Harry to give a reference of his globally loved mother, Princess Diana. But that’s the thing about this interview: he not only said that he wouldn’t let history repeat itself, he also threw shade at his own father and said that he’s “relieved and happy” to be sitting next to his wife because he can’t even fathom what Diana must have gone through i.e. having no support from father or the rest of the Royal family – confirming what we’ve always known.
“At least we have each other.” – He said.
According to CBS, Oprah will be asking Meghan about everything – from how her life changed after she stepped into the Royal life to the intense public scrutiny and media pressure.
The legendary interviewee also asked Prince Harry about his experience living in the United States and what plans he has for the future. It’s been a year since the couple moved to the United States and become independent from the Royal family.
After their move to the US, the couple has signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify meanwhile the Queen has stripped them off their royal patronages – it took them one year to do so.
Initially, the couple stepped back from the spotlight while still having retained some privileges. However, the “half-in, half-out” approach is just not appropriate for the protocols established for the monarchy.
The two-hour interview is slated to go on air on Sunday, March 7th from 8 to 10 p.m. The show is produced by Harpo Productions, and Terry Wood and Tara Montgomery are serving as the executive producers.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can be seen expanding on their narrative – the evident racism and constant attacks on Meghan’s character, something that hasn’t stopped even after they moved to the United States. In fact, the minute the promos of the interview dropped, the Duchess was viciously attacked again as publications started claiming that she had bullied two Royal aides in October 2018.
Apparently, The Duchess of Sussex has forced two personal assistants to leave their positions and that negatively influenced another palace employee.
By Wednesday, the Buckingham Palace announced that it will be starting an investigation and looking into the circumstances that have been outlined in the article. According to the official statement, the Palace would not have any policy that accepts bullying.
In response, the Sussex have said that it’s a calculated smear campaign based on nothing but misleading and harmful information.
“We are disappointed to see this defamatory portrayal of The Duchess of Sussex given credibility by a media outlet. It’s no coincidence that distorted several-year-old accusations aimed at undermining The Duchess are being briefed to the British media shortly before she and The Duke are due to speak openly and honestly about their experience of recent years.”
It seems like The Crown isn’t the only show cooking up a storyline, the British publications are always one step ahead.

Don’t know about you but the Meghan Markle bullying allegations seem baseless so it’s a serious request to not jump on the bandwagon and start supporting the Royal aides claims. We can’t trust Jason Knauf, former aide, as yet because we all know how much Meghan supports Cambridge's charitable foundation.
