Netflix K-Drama ‘Run On’: Stream It or Skip It?

As you know, Korean dramas are receiving a lot of love and admiration globally nowadays. It has gained immense popularity in the last few years. We bet that if you’re reading this, you’ve already watched “The World of Married” on Netflix because it’s considered to be the most popular and highest ranked Korean series in the world!




Anyway, we’re not here to talk about old classics but to establish what’s new, hot, and binge worthy.  And you know what? We have scoop on ‘Run On” – the new 16-episode series that will be launching on the platform on the 16th of December.

Like we said, Netflix is releasing a new K-Drama series known as “Run On” on Wednesday and it is directed by Lee Jae Hoon. The screenplay is written by Park Shi Hyun. The streaming platform will be releasing new episodes of the series every Wednesday and Thursday from the 16th of December. The show is set to have 16 episodes in the first season.


The finale of the series will be concluded on February 4th, 2021. The run time of every episode is targeted at 70 minutes. The series will also be telecasted in South Korea’s cable television network called jTBC before its big premiere on Netflix.


We’re all elated with the news because we have another show to binge watch – what a delight!

Series Analysis

We discussed before that anybody who’s an avid fan of K-drama must have watched “The World of the Married” at least once. It’s determined the top spot and become the highest-rated K-drama with a rating of 28.371%. Hence, to establish the top spot, Run On has a tough competition and has to beat the best of all.

The Plot

So, you must be thinking what the show is all about? Well, Ki Sun Gyeom is a sports agent who was a sprinter in her earlier days. He was in the national team but was forced to quit due to a controversial legal case. Oh, Mi-Joo is a subtitle translator and she is excited to see her name in the end credits of a movie for the first time.


Seo Dan-A aims to become the future of Seomyung Group but is pushed down by her potential competitors. There’s also an art major Lee Youn-Hwa who enters the life of Seo Dan-A and they start a new romance. He is kind and empathetic.
