Is it just us or you, too, feel the crazy buzz around super villains? Just a few days after DC dropped a trailer for the sequel of Suicide Squad, Marvel made a comeback with a brand new trailer for upcoming Disney series on our very own ‘Puny God’ – oops, we mean Loki!
Check mate, DC! Guess you’re not the only one having crazy yet super fun villains in the universe: we have got Loki, and he’s all set to come back to our screens!
Disney’s upcoming series is surely going to be a great treat for Marvel Fans. The latest extended-version trailer for Loki lays out some interesting details about what to expect from Tom Hiddleston’s very first standalone venture as Marvel’s most mischievous and second-most charming Asgardian.
Apparently, Loki’s weird obsession with the Tesseract – a glowing blue box hiding one of the infinity stones – has messed up the reality timeline pretty bad!
By bad we mean “opening up a bunch of alternate realities” kinda bad!
Anyways, let’s come to the trailer now. Unexpectedly, the trailer gives many clues about the aftermath of Avenger’s Endgame mishaps. Literally, if Hulk wasn’t asked to take the stairs, this wouldn’t have happened in the first place.
At least the good news is we’ve got our beloved villain back (after he had been killed by Thanos in the Infinity War). But here’s the thing: this show doesn’t follow that selfless original Loki we know and love, but rather the evil variant created as a consequence of Endgame’s misdoing!
But at least he’s trying to fix up the mess he created by his “unique Loki perspective” while introducing Marvel’s fans to the Time Variance Authority and taking us to some weird places in the process. Without any further dilly-dallying, let’s discuss the major revelations and Easter eggs from the Loki’s new trailer:
And if you haven’t watched the trailer yet, check it out here:
Loki won in Avengers

Remember, in the first Avengers movie, Loki attacked the New York City with the army of alien Chitauri. He was completely thrashed by the assembled Avengers, but a cryptic snapshot from the trailer suggests otherwise.
In the trailer, Loki seems to have arrived in an alternate reality where he has won the war. You can see the devastated New York at the back, with the iconic Stark power completely wrecked in the background.
Loki is using magical powers
Source: Screen Rant
Throughout the Marvel movies, we have seen him teleporting to places, but we have never seen him doing actual magic. In a fight between the officers of Time Variance Authority, Loki is seen using his magical power against them, throwing a green fire. This seems to be the display of his inherent Asgardian magic.
Asgard has been destroyed by the power stone

In the trailer, Loki is walking through darkened hallways of what looks like the throne-room of Asgard – the floors, ceiling, and doors of which have been cracked open by a mysterious glowing purple energy (the same color of the power stone). As we have seen in the first Guardian of the Galaxy, power stone is responsible for doing such kind of damage, cracking open people and things whenever it’s held.
Loki has got his dagger back!
This is the infamous Loki dagger that he used throughout his appearances in the Marvel movies. It was the same weapon that got him killed by Thanos while he was trying to outsmart the Titan.
Loki is seen wearing a “vote” pin
According the comic book series called “Vote Loki,” the mischievous Asgardian apparently ran for U.S presidency with the slogan “BeLIEve” - pay attention to the “lie” part of the word.
In the trailer, Loki is wearing the same outfit of his comic counterpart.
Loki meets Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow?
When the first trailer for Loki was released in December, fans speculated that Black Widow is alive and would probably appear in the series.
She was spotted against the purple backdrop, quite similar to the planet Vormir, the place where she sacrificed herself in “Endgame” to get her team the Soul Stone.
….Or Lady Loki?
But there are other speculations that the silhouette – that appears to be of Natasha Romanoff – is actually of Sophia Di Martino, the actress who has been confirmed to play the role of female version of mischievous God known as Lady Loki.
This Loki is the REAL MCU Loki!
Some fans believe that this version of Loki would become the actual Loki of MCU. The Loki we know and love has died in the Infinity War, and this version is roaming around alternate realities and time. It’s possible that this variant of Loki will eventually take its place as his dead predecessor, allowing the character to continue living in the future MCU.
Roxxon Oil Company has something to do in the plot of the series

A snapshot from the trailer shows a logo of Roxxcart, a company possibly owned by or related to Roxxon Corporation. The company’s logo has appeared several times in the MCU, including the Iron Man movies and other shows such as Netflix’s Daredevil.
These are the major revelations and potential plot-lines we have discovered from the latest trailer for Loki.
