Congratulations, we have been trolled yet again!

Marvel’s spider-team felt no remorse in trolling fans all day,
with stars Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, and Zendaya each uploading title cards
revealing different titles for the upcoming MCU Spider-Man movie.

According to Holland’s Instagram post, the third installment
of the series will be called “Spider-Man: Phone Home,” oddly giving us the
1984’s E.T. vibe. On the other hand,
Batalon’s post has revealed the title to be “Spider-Man: Home Wrecker.” To make
things more confusing, Zendaya then shared a third title card, declaring the
movie name to be “Spider-Man: Home Slice.”

Obviously, these posts sparked a whirlwind of confusion and
memes over the internet, with fans making up some insane theories out of this
title-puzzle. At last, Marvel decided to clear up the confusion in a 30-second
video clip.

The third movie of Spider-Man has finally got its official
title, and it’s not “Phone home” or “home Slice, and definitely not “Home
Wrecker.” Phew!

The actual title for the upcoming installment in the superhero
franchise is “Spider-Man: No Way Home, actor
Tom Holland – with his fellow cast members, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya – featured
in a 30 second video to spill the beans on social media on Wednesday.

In the video, Holland comes out of director Jon Watt’s office,
whining about how he’s toying with them and fans with fake titles.

“He gave us a fake name again… I just don’t understand why he
keeps doing this,” Holland complains.

“You don’t understand? I feel like it’s pretty obvious. You
spoil things,” Batalon answers, referring to the actor’s reputation of spoiling
the details of the movie ahead of public release.

“I don’t spoil things. Name one thing I have actually
spoiled,” Holland strikes back, as Zendaya brutally answers, “The last movie
title.”

The camera then pans to a white board featuring brainstorming
of potential movie titles, with “Spider-Man: No Way Home” written in the
center.

Check out how fans are reacting to the new movie title:

Prior to the reveal, Holland appeared in a virtual interview with
Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday to talk about the confusion caused online. Opposite to
his reputation, the actor remained tightly-lipped throughout the interview and
didn’t give away much of the information. The one thing that the current
Spider-Man did reveal, however, was that former Spider-Men,
Tobey Maguire and
Andrew Garfield will not have their cameos in the latest movie.

“It would be amazing if they were in the movie, because they
haven’t told me that yet and I am Spider-Man and I have read the script from
beginning to the end,” Holland said in the Jimmy Fallon show. “It would be a
miracle if they could have kept that from me. But at the moment there is no
cameo from the two boys.”

Do you believe him? Hell, no! Obviously, considering how the
film’s stars were shamelessly sharing fake news about the film just yesterday,
it’s fair to assume Holland’s statements about epic cameos of former Spider-men
are nothing but another put-up job.

In short, his claims don’t entirely rule out the possibility
of former Spider-men cameos in the upcoming installment. So, sit tight and have
faith in the MCU; they won’t disappoint!

Spider-Man:
No Way Home
