Warner Bros’ upcoming historic-drama puts Get Out actor Daniel Kaluuya on the
forefront, as he plays the Chairman of Black Panther Party, Fred Hampton, in
the Judas and The Black Messiah.

Ahead of the untitled Fred Hampton project release, the Judas and the Black Messiah full movie has been garnering plenty of
praises from the critics, with many praising Daniel Kaluuya’s performance in
the movie. He is nominated for a SAG, Critics Choice, and Golden Globe award
for his remarkable performance as Fred Hampton in the upcoming American
biographical drama 2021.

What is
the plot of the movie “Judas and the Black Messiah” and where can i watch Judas and the Black Messiah?


Based on the real historical events of the 60s, the movie
tells the story of a former thief-turned-FBI informant, William O’Neal, who was
assigned to infiltrate Black Panther Party and help FBI bring down its leader,
Fred Hampton.

Basically, the film documents the life and assassination of
Black Panther Party leader, Fred Hampton. He was an African-American activist
and revolutionary socialist who rose to prominence in Chicago because of his
personal charisma, eloquence, and organization skills. His effective leadership
and communication skills were what made him a major threat to FBI.

What is
the Judas and the Black Messiah Cast?


This period-drama stars Oscar-nominee Daniel Kaluuya as Fred
Hampton, Lakeith Stanfield as FBI-informant William O’Neal, Jesse Plemons as
O’Neal’s handler, Dominique Fishback as Hampton’s love interest Deborah Johnson,
and Martin Sheen as the director of the FBI Edgar Hoover.

The film is directed by Shaka King and Ryan Coogler (the
director of superhero blockbuster “Black Panther”) co-produced the movie with
Charles D. King. While talking to virtual panel in August, Coogler said that he
was mesmerized when King first introduced this idea to him.


“Chairman Fred Hampton is somebody whose life work, and the
story of his assassination, has been relevant since the day (it) happened and
only continues to become more relevant with context,” Coogler said. “But I also
think that Shaka’s point of view, and how he wanted to tell the story, was also
something that’s extremely relevant, as well,” he added.


When is
it going to release?


Judas
and the Black Messiah
 is scheduled to release in theatres and on HBO
Max this week on 12th February with the budget of $26 million. It was initially scheduled for a
release in August last year, but got postponed due to the pandemic. With its 12th
February release, the movie is now eligible for this year’s Oscar nominations.


Music


The movie’s original song titled “Fight for You” is performed
by H.E.R, who also co-wrote the song with Tiara Thomas and D’Mile. The score of
the movie was composed by Craig Harris and Mark Isham.

Fans got a glimpse of the movie in August last year, when
Warner Bros dropped the movie’s first trailer featuring Kaluuya as Hampton.
